Nourishing Wisdom Classes and Events
Nourishing Wisdom provides a wide variety of classes, lectures, workshops and other events to help you to learn more about cooking, eating and staying healthy. June 3, 2008 - Eat Local Food Meeting at New Paltz Library FREE

Location: New Paltz Library
Cost: Free
Interested in learning more about eating local food? Come to the eat local event this Tuesday night. The night will include: a short animated movie, the history of the Eat Local Challenge including inspirations from 2007, reasons for eating locally, conveniences for finding local foods and time for questions with seasoned locavores, newcomers, farmers and local foods businesses. Holly will be speaking for a short time along with others.
June 4, 2008 - Teleclass: Smart Eating for Busy People

Teleclasses are perfect for busy people who want to discover health and lifestyle improvements in an effective low cost way- and you can participate from home, work, when you’re on the road, or while laying on the couch in your pajamas! Each teleclass focuses on a specific topic, and there is always time for your questions.
June 4, 2008 - Two Angry Moms film at Rosendale Theater

Location: Rosendale Theater
Cost: $5
Come join us for a showing of the heated and increasingly popular "Two Angry Moms." This film is co-sponsored by Brook Farm Project and Phillies Bridge Farm. All proceeds will benefit the collaborative film/lecture series. Afterwards, Holly will be moderating a discussion about how to have healthy food in our schools. Susan, one of the angry moms is a colleague. She is so excited to have brought this film to the area. I hope you can join us for this very important film.

The purpose of the Healthy Eating Series is to educate the community about the nutritional value of the local produce found at the farmers market, and how to incorporate these foods into their daily diet.
June 17, 2008 - Cooking Class: Farm to Table
Time: 6:00pm - 9:00pm
Location: Rosendale
Cost: $65
We walk out into the fields with the farmer, harvest our vegetables, then head into the kitchen for a hands on cooking class. At the end of each class, we sit around the table to chat and enjoy the fruits of our labor- a delicious, freshly prepared dinner!
